Resources & their cost in TIME
TIME is a real cost
Newport News Maritime Museum, Virginia - states:
"All research requests pertaining to personal use must be in writing and accompanied by a $20 research fee. (Museum members receive a discounted price of $15.00). Both should be mailed to The Mariners' Museum Research Library, 100 Museum Drive, Newport News, VA 23606-3759. Please allow approximately four to six (4 - 6) weeks for a response to a research request, as they are processed in a first-come, first-serve order. Rush orders can be arranged for a fee. For commercial requests please click here."
[Note: The above implies, to me, that commercial requests will attract higher charges.... surely this process can be simplified ....Yes folks, I'm trying to do something about it, for users and providers alike. No-one honestly expects something for nothing, and, in return for an advertisement-free environment, there is a way round the revenue problems providers now face.
