Dorothy was living 1633 in Arwenack, Falmouth.</div> <div> John Killigrew and Dorothy Monck had the following children:</div> <div> 1.Sir John Killigrew, born 1583, in Arwenack, Falmouth. He married 1600, Jane Fermor,daughter of Sir George Fermor. Interred 17 July 1633 in Westminster, London. </div> <bR> <div> 5. Sir Peter Killigrew Sr. married Mary Lucas (b. Son died date unknown at age unknown. </div> <bR> <bR> <bR> <bR> <bR> <bR> <bR> <div> 3 Ann Killigrew, born circa 1688 in Charles St., St. James, Westminster, London, died September 1727 in Charles St., St. James, Westminster, aged 59, interred 27 September 1727 in Falmouth,</div> <div> She married Martin Lister 23 February 1689. His will dated 13 October 1743, was probated 11 March 1745. </div> <div> <B>Martin Lister changed his name to Killigrew</B> and died without issue in 1743. His estate was left in part, amongst others, to Amye (Anne) Killigrew, who was married to Major John Dunbar. The final settlement, being stock held in the Royal Exchange Assurance Corporation, was recovered by judgement on 23 June 1886 by a lawyer, HJV Philpott. The net amount, after all costs had dwindled from some 543 Pounds to 220 pounds which were divided amongst various listed descendants. Captain Frederick Dunbar of Rosewood, Ipswich, Queensland (Australia) received 14 pounds 7 shillings and 9 pence. </div> <div> 4. Peter Killigrew, born in Falmouth & christened 18 August 1680 in Falmouth, died November 1680 in Falmouth, interred November 1680 in Falmouth.  </div> <bR> <bR> <bR> <div> .</div> <div>  </div> <bR> <bR> <bR> <bR> <div> Simon Killigrew married Jane Arwenack , daughter of Robert, Lord of the Manor of Arwenack. </div> <bR> <bR> <bR> <bR> <bR> <bR> <bR> <div> FP Sat. 14/8/<B>1858:</B> Local Taxation.</div> <div> The 1832 population [of Falmouth Town] was 4,761, assessed rental £11,500 and Poor Rate of £1029 - or 4s. 4d per inhabitant.Now, the poor Rate has risen to 8s in the £1.</div> <div> First to increase the burden came the New poor Law. </div> <div> Second, the Municipal Reform Bill, finally, </div> <div> An Act by which "offenders of the Seas" are to be committed to the nearest jail. (offenders are placed in the Town Gaol).
